Curd: “I will work to end TARP immediately”
SIOUX FALLS – Blake Curd, Republican candidate for South Dakota’s lone congressional seat laid out a clear policy difference between himself and Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin today stating that he will work to end the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) immediately if elected. Rep. Herseth Sandlin voted on Thursday to extend TARP.

Stephanie Herseth Sandlin, D-S.D., touted the passage of pay-go rules yesterday but also supported allowing the government to go $1.9 trillion deeper in debt. The pay-go rules, as I understand them, basically require that Congress find savings or new revenue to offset any new spending.
